Access and transport

Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) is connected to the city by Airport Train, which is known as Airport Rail Link.

The railway line consists of 8 stations – Suvarnabhumi, Lat Krabang, Ban Thap Chang, Hua Mak, Ramkhamhaeng, Makkasan, Ratchaprarop and Phaya Thai.

There's no non-stop express train service anymore. Therefore all the trains stop at every station and the journey takes approximately 30 minutes.

The Limo Bus Airport Express is another solution to connect both Bangkok airports, Suvanabumi or Don Muang to the city center (Khao San Road, Silom, Ratchadamri, Ploenchit, Pratunam).

They are more expensive and more comfortable than orange buses and also, in theory, a bit faster.

You can find free Shuttle Bus from both Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Don Mueang (DMK).

The shuttle bus starts running from both airports at 5.00 and the last bus leave at 24.00. The bus departs every 12 or 30 minutes depending on the time of the day. The route takes approximately 50-60 minutes to another airport.

However, it might take twice that time when using shuttle bus service during the rush hour or heavy rain as it may be delayed due to traffic congestion.
